Freddy's Nightmares "The Bride Wore Red" (1988)
Twenty-something Gavin is having some serious second thoughts to his upcoming marriage. While out on the town for his bachelor party he hooks up with a mysterious lady in red who shows him that maybe marriage is a good idea to the alternative she proposes. Meanwhile, Gavin's wife to be Jessica is having Daddy issues due to a long ago "secret" that she kept.
Fairly weak entry that seems pretty rushed and sloppily put together. The first half mainly deals with Gavin's issues of commitment and the ever scary presence of "marriage'. While drinking with buddies during his bachelor party at the "Ball and Chain Bar" he decides to have one last "fling" before settling down to married life. Before he can make his "move" however, he passes out at the table drunk and thus enters "Nightmareland". Here he runs into the 'Stripper From Hell" who lays into him all of man's shortcomings and evil ways. There's a fairly creepy sequence of a roomful of women grooving on the dance floor wearing nothing but blank, expressionless masks (men treat like women like objects, get it?), and eventually Gavin is seduced by a lady in red who makes philandering men her own personal slaves. Lucky (or not, depending on how you look at it) Gavin wakes up and decides marriage is the better option.
Second half focuses on Gavin's cute little wife Jessica who's been harboring a major league secret for years. After catching her old man in a fling, the old man tells little Jessica that she better not tell mommy or something called D-I-V-O-R-C-E might happen. So, now that she's married she seduces single men in her spare time, tying them to beds and photographing them while informing the wives about their unfaithful spouses. She eventually gets caught in her own game and finds herself locked up in the looney bin. Yawn. Fairly bland episode that has one lone bright spot. A special appearance by the terrific "Rap Master Freddy". I can dig it.
Freddy Say's:
"It's time for our boy to face the music with rap master Freddy."
"If you thought romance was dead, now you know who to blame. She loves me, she loves me not!"
"Pop goes the weasel. That's the kind of song that will really carve a place in your heart."
"The ties that bind, the chains of love. Unshakable, unbreakable...mmm...and tasty to!"
